DESCRIPTION:This short course of three Somatic Movement Lessons can be taken as a block or individually.  Helpful for improved balance\, posture\, mobility\, coordination\, and developing body awareness\, they are suitable for those wishing to maintain/improved mobility\,  and offer a deep re-education of poor postural and movement habits from the inside out. \nCome join us if you are comfy with working laying on the floor.  You need to bring a mat and a blanket\, and wear loose layered warm clothing.  Those with chronic persistent pain are recommended to take 1-1 Functional Integration prior to attending a class – if in doubt\, get in touch! \nNormally in blocks of 6-8 classes\, this block of 3 takes us over the Christmas/New Year period\, at a special price of £25 for all 3 or £12 each. \nRead more about Feldenkrais classes at www.lifeworks4.me.uk  and for bookings/payments see details below.

DESCRIPTION:Calling parents\, children and anyone who loves children’s stories! Come and enjoy a warming bowl of soup (provided by The Seed\, Buckfastleigh’s community wholefood store) and then listen to heart-warming stories told by Leo Sofer\, with enchanting music from Sundara Sofer. \nClaire’s Unbreakable Hair \nOnce there was a girl whose hair could not be cut. Her mother tried scissors\, which only broke! Her father tried an axe. Same thing! But why? Why is she the only girl with unbreakable hair? It takes a meeting with a wise old woman and many adventures before she discovers what her hair is really for. (Storytelling lasts 40m). Ages 5+ \nLeo Sofer started storytelling in 1989 and has given thousands of performances for children in schools all over England. He has created a website of stories for children\, Palace of Stories\, which features over 100 audio stories for children. \nSundara Sofer started playing music as a young child\, and plays accordion\, harmonium\, flutes and whistles. Her latest love is the Handpan\, a magical instrument that instantly transports its listeners into story land! Sundara and Leo have been playing music together since they met in 1999. \n£4 per adult or child\, £10 family ticket for up to 4 people. \nOnline booking recommended as spaces are limited.

DESCRIPTION:Accompanied by harmonium and guitar\, we will sing Indian devotional chants based on simple mantras. These are like beautiful forms of prayer in which we invoke the qualities that are expressed in Indian deities like Shiva\, Krishna\, Durga\, Saraswati and Ganesha\, qualities that are all present within us as well and that can be brought to our awareness and celebrated singing together. No prior experience is necessary. Arrive a little earlier if you like for a cup of tea and some time to connect before we begin.
