Sundara plays the harmonium and Leo plays the guitar to accompany these songs. DESCRIPTION:With Leo and Sundara \nAccompanied by harmonium and guitar\, we will sing Indian devotional chants based on simple mantras. These “sung prayers” invoke the qualities of Indian deities such as love\, creativity\, courage and wisdom. These qualities are all present within us and can be brought more fully into our lives by singing together in this way. \nLeo and Sundara have been leading singing events together since 2003. DESCRIPTION:An evening of storytelling and music with Leo and Sundara Sofer \nFor the last thirty years\, Leo Sofer has been walking the path of Intuitive Storytelling – a way of receiving mythological stories in response to life’s questions. \nIn this show he will be sharing personal stories from this journey as well as telling two intuitive stories that bring the themes to life. \nThe King Who Became a Dog is about humility and the courage to surrender to a larger truth. The Pigeon Whisperer is about following inner guidance\, wherever it leads you. \nFeedback from our last show\n“Leo is both a magnificent teller and writer of stories\, and with Sundara providing a delicious musical backdrop\, Weaving Gold from Starlight was an absolute treat. It was so lovely to be presented with a tale that held layers of deeper meaning\, and like a good movie it was alive in me for a long time afterwards.”\nEddie Campbell-Thomas \n“Excellently written and told story. SUMMARY:Taizé Singing
DESCRIPTION:The songs of Taizé are easy to learn and uplifting to sing. \nTaizé is a Christian monastery in the South of France famous for its beautiful songs. We’ll sing them in three or four part harmony\, in Latin as well as various European languages. We’ll have a time for silent prayer also. We’ll keep teaching to a minimum and sing for the pure enjoyment of the devotional atmosphere that these songs evoke. \nThe Dragon Sanctuary Choir will be supporting this event\, so that all singers will be able to easily hear and learn their part. \nLeo and Sundara started leading Taizé singing in 2003\, at the Findhorn Community in Scotland.
