The World Beyond the Moon and the Stars
Leo and Sundara Sofer will be telling two stories for children, with musical accompaniment.
The World Beyond the Moon and the Stars is about a girl who longs to visit such a place. One night in her dreams, she gets on her balloon and goes there, only to find that it’s nothing like she expected it to be…
The Farmer’s Magic Shoe Tree is about a farmer who one day finds a strange plant growing in the corner of one of his fields. Upon it are dangling tiny little shoes, which over time grow and grow until they are full sized. When he puts them on, however, something really magic happens!
Performance time is 45 minutes. Suitable for children aged 5 to 9. Attendees will also receive audio recordings of both stories by email, after the performance.
Leo Sofer has been telling stories since 1989. Sundara plays handpan, flute and harmonium to accompany the telling. They have been setting stories to music together for over 20 years.
