Divine Mother
We’ve started publishing some of our songs on this website. First up is Divine Mother, a truly beautiful song that we’ve sung many times at our Singing Sanctuary evenings. We’ve made a five minute audio recording of it, which you can find here.
I’m sitting here, writing this post and listening to this song on continuous loop, and it really does have an uplifting and nourishing quality.
Sundara wrote this song inspired by the many Indian devotional chants that sing to the Divine Mother in her many forms, and many names. I had suggested seeing if she could write such a song in English, and this is what came.
