Do you have a story to tell about how you first met your partner, lover, or close friend? Some meetings seemed destined to happen, others happen in the most bizarre circumstances, or in ways that we’ll always remember.
We’ll sit in a circle and tell our stories. True Storytelling is not about performance, it’s about sharing our stories in community, for inspiration, healing and mutual understanding. It’s also fine to just sit and listen!
The evening will be facilitated by Leo Sofer, co-owner of Jellyfish and a storyteller for 30 years.
Feedback from previous participants.
“I’ve really enjoyed both the True Storytelling evenings I’ve been to. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to be able to listen, really listen, to other people telling about precious moments in their lives. And to have the chance to tell about your own experiences and memories (only if you want to), with others listening to you too. It’s inspiring and entertaining and humbling, all at once. I’m waiting to hear what the next topic will be!” Elle
“I enjoyed speaking/hearing stories from the heart and truth, evolving spaciousness and depth, warm embodied listening….Unconditioned moments, reflections without preconceptions or dogma.” Abigail Robinson.
“Through a kind invitation for us to share our story, Leo helped us create this special place where we were listened to, and our stories were brought to life. They were stories from our past, but we brought them to the present. And in that respectful and safe circle our experiences and stories were honoured. I left feeling full of life.” Thais Lloyd.
