The King Who Became a Dog

An evening of storytelling and music with Leo and Sundara Sofer
There can be moments in life when something opens up inside
A vista of beauty
A feeling of presence
A glimpse of stunning potential
And then… somehow, we lose it.
We try to hold onto it, or fit it into the life we already have — and it slips away. Or we push it aside altogether, because it asks more of us than we’re ready to give.
This evening of storytelling explores that territory.
It features two original stories: one of a king who loses something essential and must find his way back to it; and one of a young woman who can hear the language of birds, only to find herself drawn into unexpected consequences.
We’ll move through themes of:
Following your heart, and then turning away from it
Neglecting your inner truth, and the slow, patient work of remembering it again
What it means to live in alignment with what you most value
Leo has been telling stories for over three decades. Sundara has been immersed in music since childhood. They’ve been working together for over 20 years.
