Wildness Tempered by Love

An Exhibition of paintings by Abigail Robinson and Kate Coombs, expressing a time spent together at Blackpool sands. It explores in colour and ink, feelings in response to the wild sea and the edge of the land. It records a time when the cancer diagnosis became real for Abigail and she struggled with all the major decisions she had to face.  It will also be a launch of ‘The Lightening Tree’  Poetry by Abigail Robinson.

‘Images are a documentation of sacred relationship. A dancing conversation with the freedom of the sea. Created within a soul space.  An alchemical vessel holding the liminal. Out of every day time, yet coexisting with both light and profound human relating. That which is wild, tempered by love.

Poetry is an attempt to find the wholeness that exists beyond wounding and death. The living being that is sustained in spite of, and grown around, violation. The lightening tree is both a reality and a metaphor for where the world of the living meets the world of the dead.’  Abigail
